Lene Hau named 2011 Distinguished Alum, Aarhus University, Denmark

Lene Hau was named ‘2011 Distinguished Alum’ by Aarhus University, Denmark on September 9, 2011 at the university's anniversary celebration. Hau received her PhD degree in physics from Aarhus University in 1991, and now, 20 years later, returned to the university to receive the title of 2011 Distinguished Alum.

Thereby, she joins an exclusive club of distinguished alumni that has only three other members: HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark; Anders Fogh-Rasmussen, secretary-general of NATO and former Danish prime minister; and Nils Smedegaard Andersen, CEO of Maersk.
